There’s a chemistry between Schoenaerts and Exarchopolous that supersedes some clumsy dialogue. Suddenly, the film has a new obstacle: How do you sustain a relationship when one partner is in prison? Ultimately, things descend into melodrama as more and more unlikely storylines pile on top of each other. But he isn’t kidding, and soon we see him at work, knocking off a Belgian bank.
